Posidonia ha fatto grandi incontri. Una fiera come quella di Monaco è frequentata da grandi armatori, grandi cantieri e grandi aziende, tra le quali abbiamo incontrato l’azienda  Crystal Caviar e da questi incontri è nata l’idea di AIDA.

Aida è un’ancora soddisfa le esigenze di un certo tipo di armatore che vede lo yacht non solo come un’imbarcazione ma come un’estensione del suo marchio, del suo nome e della sua personalità.

Noi di Posidonia siamo abituati a pensare alla personalizzazione di un’ancora a livello funzionale, i nostri progettisti ogni giorno parlano con i tecnici di cantiere per sviluppare o adattare ancore e deck equipment  a problemi costruttivi. 

In questo caso invece il lusso in mare è la prima motivazione della richiesta di personalizzazione e, attraverso le nostre competenze, possiamo trasformare questa esigenza in realtà.

Crystal Caviar

Ci siamo dati un anno di tempo per studiarne la fattibilità, capire il giusto modo per incastonare i cristalli e scegliere i cristalli più idonei, abbiamo fatto test per capirne la resistenza e la durata.

Dopo una lunga corrispondenza tecnica tra noi di Posidonia e Crystal Caviar parte finalmente la nostra Ancora High Holding Power in acciaio inox e lucidata a specchio per la Boemia, la regina delle ancore saldate, che riduce del 25% il peso e il volume rispetto ad un’ancora di massa, certificata con tutti gli enti IACS e adatta ad ogni tipo di fondale.

La nostra Ancora HV ritorna dopo qualche settimana impreziosita da cristalli bianchi Crystal Caviar di 5 mm di diametro che descrivono il suo nome: AIDA.

Aida è stata esposta al Monaco Yacht Show del 20217.

Crystal Caviar

We gave ourselves a year to study its feasibility, understand the right way to set the crystals and choose the most suitable crystals, we did tests to understand their resistance and duration.

After a long technical correspondence between us at Posidonia and Crystal Caviar finally comes our High Holding Power Anchor in stainless steel and mirror polished for Bohemia, the queen of welded anchors, which reduces the weight and volume by 25% compared to a 'mass anchor, certified with all IACS bodies and suitable for any type of seabed.

Our Anchor HV returns after a few weeks embellished with white Crystal Caviar crystals of 5 mm in diameter that describe her name: AIDA.

Aida was exhibited at the 2021 Monaco Yacht Show.

The Cannes Yachting Festival has been held annually since 1977 in the beautiful bay of Cannes. This edition opens on September 12 and closes on September 17.

The event hours are from 10 am to 7 pm every day, except for Friday, September 15, when the exhibition will have a special evening opening until 10 pm.

The Cannes Yachting Festival is the premier event in the European boating industry, where shipyards and companies from the global nautical sector gather to present their world premieres.

Posidonia is a leading company in the field of mooring and towing for Super Yachts. For years, we have exhibited at the Monaco Yacht Show, but this year we were drawn to the liveliness of the Cannes fair and wanted to try this new experience. Like all first times, we are filled with curiosity and interest.

These mega yachts have been growing longer over the past decade, and Posidonia equips them with high-holding power or extremely high-holding power anchors. The finishes can also include mirror-polished stainless steel. The anchors can be provided with or without a plate to allow for flush mounting, improving maneuverability and enhancing the vessel's aesthetics. Our anchors are articulated shank anchors, and they are welded, tested, and internally polished in Italy by specialized personnel.

At our booth at the Cannes Yacht Festival, we will showcase a 400 kg high-holding power (HHP) HV anchor, a mirror-polished stainless steel bollard, and a 25 kg Bruce-type anchor. We will also display connecting elements such as the Neptunia Swivel Shackle, accessories like the mirror-polished stainless steel Kenter shackle, special chains, and ropes, including the very special HMPE rope. HMPE rope is made from ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene, with each individual strand coated for durability to reduce abrasion and extend its lifespan. The strength of HMPE rope is comparable to steel cable.

A unique aspect of the Cannes fair is its industry focus while also opening up to maritime enthusiasts during the weekend, creating a relaxed atmosphere towards the end of summer.

Il Monaco Yacht Show è l’evento degli Super Yacht. Posidonia, che fornisce le ancore a gli Yacht più grandi del mondo da oltre una decade, non poteva non esserci.

La nostra Ceo e General Director Serena Ardito passa in visita per salutare amici e clienti che oggi hanno qui i loro più belli esemplari.

Il salone è diviso in tre parti:

- imbarcazioni che quest’anno sono 120 con una 50ina di tender di lusso;

- una parte dedicata ai designer ed all’accessoristica;

- un’ultima parte, che in questi ultimi anni ha preso sempre più piede, dedicata ai prodotti di super lusso; prodotti intrinsecamente legati più alla ricchezza ed alla sua ostentazione che alla nautica, quindi: elicotteri, jet privati, sottomarini, moto e macchine di alta gamma.

Il festival è un concentrato di Glamour con una lunghezza media degli yacht di cinquanta metri e alcuni mega yacht che superano i cento metri.

- Storie che parlano di attenzione alla biodiversità con la Coral Sea Fundation insieme alle Sea woman of Malesia, questa iniziativa dota di attrezzature tecnologiche le donne delle Isole di Papua per monitorare la barriera corallina.

- Un’altra bellissima storia è la storia di Sara Skinner che ha creato la Blue Marine Foundation (BLUE), un ente di beneficenza che si propone di difendere il 30% dei mari entro il 2030, con l’appoggio del Principe Alberto che ha voluto lanciare l’iniziativa qui al MYS. The Monaco Yacht Show is the premier event for Super Yachts.

Posidonia, which has been supplying anchors to the world's largest yachts for over a decade, could not miss it.

Our CEO and General Director, Serena Ardito, is visiting to greet friends and customers who have their most stunning vessels here today.

The show is divided into three parts:

- there are 120 vessels this year, including around 50 luxury tenders;

- a section dedicated to designers and accessories;

- and a last part that has gained more prominence in recent years, dedicated to super luxury products; items intrinsically linked more to wealth and its ostentation than to boating, so: helicopters, private jets, submarines, high-end motorcycles, and cars.

The festival is a concentration of glamour, with an average yacht length of fifty meters and some mega-yachts exceeding one hundred meters.

- These stories showcase a commitment to biodiversity, including a collaboration between the Coral Sea Fundationand the Sea Women of Malaysia. Through this initiative, women from the islands of Papua are equipped with the necessary technology to monitor coral reefs.

- Another remarkable story is that of Sara Skinner, the founder of the Blue Marine Foundation (BLUE), a charitable organization dedicated to protecting 30% of the world's oceans by 2030. With the support of Prince Albert, this initiative was launched right here at MYS.

Siamo felici di essere presenti per la prima volta con uno stand Posidonia al Cannes Yachting Festival. Il Cannes Yachting Festival si svolge tutti gli anni dal 1977 a settembre nella splendida baia di Cannes. Questa edizione apre i battenti il 12 e finisce il 17 settembre.

L'orario è tutti i giorni dalle 10 alle 19, tranne venerdì 15 settembre, giorno in cui l’esposizione avrà una speciale apertura serale fino alle ore 22.

Il Cannes Yachting Festival è il primo appuntamento del settore in Europa: qui si riuniscono i cantieri e le aziende che lavorano nella nautica di tutto il mondo per presentare le loro novità mondiali in anteprima. 

Posidonia è un’azienda leader nel campo dell’ormeggio e del rimorchio per i Super Yacht. Per anni abbiamo esposto al Monaco Yacht Show, quest’anno ci siamo fatti travolgere dalla frizzantezza della fiera di Cannes e abbiamo voluto provare questa nuova esperienza. Mega yacht che in questi ultimi dieci anni si sono allungati sempre più e noi di Posidonia li dotiamo di ancore ad alto potere ancorante o ad altissimo potere ancorante. Le finiture possono essere anche in acciaio Inox lucidate a specchio. Le ancore possono essere fornite con o senza piastra per permettere un alloggiamento a scomparsa per una migliore navigabilità e un’estetica più accattivante dell’imbarcazione. Le nostre ancore sono a marre articolate e vengono saldate, testate e lucidate internamente, in Italia, da personale specializzato.

Forniamo super yacht con ancore e Deck equipment altamente brandizzati con inserti in materiali preziosi o con forme particolari (rigorosamente progettati e testati, certificazioni IACS su richiesta).

Nel nostro Stand al Cannes Yacht Festival presenteremo un’ancora HV ad alto potere ancorante (HHP) da 400 kg, una bitta in acciaio inox lucidata a specchio e un’ancora tipo Bruce da 25 kg, insieme a elementi di congiunzione come la Cicala Girevole Neptunia, accessori Come la maglia Kenter in acciaio inox lucidata a specchio, catene e cime speciali come la cima HMPE, cima realizzata in polietilene ad altissimo peso molecolare i cui singoli fili di cima sono impregnati di un rivestimento resistente per ridurre l'abrasione e prolungare la durata. La resistenza della cima HMPE è paragonabile al cavo d’acciaio.

 Particolarità della fiera di Cannes è il suo essere di settore e aprirsi contemporaneamente alla divulgazione del mercato marittimo nel fine settimana, un momento di spensieratezza verso la fine dell’estate.

Ship winterization is a crucial process to ensure the safety of ships and their crew in low environmental temperatures, especially for those ships sailing the Arctic or Antarctic routes.For this reason, Posidonia produces deck material that goes into low temperatures and meets the requirements for ship winterization.

Low temperatures can cause equipment to freeze due to ice accumulation from weather conditions, sea spray, or due to freezing of liquids within a system.

Therefore, there are requirements and Standards for the preparation of ships intended to sail in cold climates.

Posidonia helps those who must ensure that their ships are properly prepared for winter conditions in order to mitigate risks and ensure safe operations.

The material for deck equipment that has the requirements of winterization is a specific material because metal becomes more brittle as the temperature drops and therefore must have greater resilience capabilities.

To achieve this, specific heat treatments are used in addition to a careful choice of material.

The choice of material

Heat treatments depend on the material; some of these treatments are, for example, normalization on structural steels to have higher resilience at low temperatures.

Main materials used for winterization are Aisi 316L stainless steel, Duplex or carbon steel. The filler material that is used for welding should obviously have the same mechanical and chemical characteristics as the base material.

Welders are certified and follow WPS/WPQR procedures for various types of welds, materials and thicknesses.

In the past we have tested cables to be certified to -50°. These tests were done with the help of special equipment, liquid nitrogen, and our 500T test bench.

In 2024 we will provide roller cable trays equipped with an opening hatch accompanied by heating tracks (special cables traversed by electric current) to prevent the formation of ice on them.

Our engineering department is always ready and interested in studying new projects to help those at sea who face the most extreme situations.

La winterizzazione delle navi è un processo cruciale per garantire la sicurezza delle imbarcazioni e del loro equipaggio a basse temperature ambientali, specialmente per quelle navi che fanno rotte Artiche o Antartiche. Per questo motivo Posidonia produce materiale di coperta che va a basse temperature e soddisfa i requisiti per la winterizzazione delle navi.

Le basse temperature possono causare il congelamento delle attrezzature a causa dell'accumulo di ghiaccio dovuto alle condizioni atmosferiche, agli spruzzi del mare, o a causa del congelamento dei liquidi all'interno di un sistema.

Vi sono quindi requisiti e Norme per la preparazione delle navi destinate a navigare in climi freddi. Devono essere fornite misure di protezione e devono essere eseguite specifiche procedure operative per garantire che le attrezzature di coperta siano adeguatamente protette per consentirne il funzionamento anche in climi molto rigidi.

Posidonia è in grado di offrire supporto a chi deve garantire che le imbarcazioni siano adeguatamente preparate alle condizioni invernali, al fine di contenere i rischi e garantire operazioni sicure.

Il materiale per deck equipment che abbia i requisiti della winterizzazione è un materiale specifico in quanto il metallo diventa più fragile con l’abbassarsi della temperatura e deve avere quindi delle capacità di resilienza maggiori.

Per ottenere questo, oltre ad una attenta scelta del materiale si utilizzano specifici trattamenti termici.

La scelta del materiale

I trattamenti termici dipendono dal materiale, alcuni di questi trattamenti sono ad esempio la normalizzazione sugli acciai strutturali, per avere una maggiore resilienza alle basse temperature.

Principali materiali usati per la wintenterizzazione sono l’inox Aisi 316L, Duplex o l’acciaio al carbonio. Il materiale d’apporto che viene utilizzato per la saldatura dovrà ovviamente avere le stesse caratteristiche meccaniche e chimiche del materiale base.

I saldatori sono certificati e seguono le procedure WPS/WPQR per i vari tipi di saldatura, materiali e spessori.

In passato abbiamo testato cavi per essere certificati a meno cinquanta gradi. Questi test sono stati fatti con l'ausilio di attrezzature speciali, dell’azoto liquido e del nostro banco prova da 500T.

Nel 2024 forniremo passacavi a rulli forniti di un portello apribile corredato da tracce scaldanti (particolari cavi speciali attraversati da corrente elettrica) per evitare la formazione di ghiaccio sugli stessi.

Il nostro dipartimento di ingegneria è sempre pronto e interessato a studiare nuovi progetti per aiutare chi in mare deve affrontare le situazioni più estreme.
