It can be launched from 26 meters high and always finds the correct position thanks to the water-jet propellers. The propellers are contained into a dedicated shell to protect the user and prevent the propellers from being entangled. The lithium-ion batteries are located into an independent compartment so that Dolphin1 can continue to function even if the hull is damaged. It reaches a speed of around 8 knots and weighs less than 15 kg.

Colored in bright orange, the two high-range flashing fog lights give the buoy great visibility over long distances and in critical climatic conditions (darkness, fog, rough sea).
